I love going here with my family

We visited the zoo to attend Boo at the Zoo! It was so much fun for the kids!

This is one of the best zoos I have been to. My two year old son and I fed a Giraffe!! How awesome is that?! What a memory for him. The place was clean and very well presented as far as animals. Would have liked to see the elephant enclosure be much bigger. These are giant animals and to be in that small of a space is ridiculous. Two monkeys have more space the. They do. Drain that enclosure and put them there. Trade them out. Poor things. It broke my heart. Other than that disappointment, the animals were much more lively. The horn bills were cawing, the monkeys were playing, the lions were moving. We heard the male roar! Truly awe inspiring. The botanical gardens could use an upgrade too. It's grass and a few flowers here and there. Invest a little. I can understand California is in a drought right now, so I can see that. Maybe for the future. I am comparing this place to the LA Zoo mind you. In comparison, yes the LA Zoo is bigger, but this place is nicer and has a train!

I was very pleased with the paths and how beautiful everything looked and the animals looked happy and had good homes unlike others I have seen at other zoos that look depressing. One of the best zoos I have been too!
