Notify the customer before your shop closes that their vehicle is ready to be picked up, especially when your shop is closed the next day (Sunday), so that their car isn’t in your parking lot all weekend long. Also, communicate what the price would be and how long the service should take.

I have been coming to Big O for 10 years. I wanted an oil change, brake fluild flush and cooling system flush. Also an estimate for new tires. After 2 hours I asked how much longer. I was told that the total job would be about 3 hours. 3 and a half hours and the job was "done". No brake fluid job done becase of equipment problems and the the tires were not rotated, which have always be done before. Why so long when only part of the job was done. I asked for an estimate for new tires and was given a quote for a 45K mile tire no other quote was suggested until I mentioned that 45K wasn't a very good tire and then qouted a 75K tire for basically the same price. Options should have been offered to start with. I like Big O but will prpbably go to Ogden nest time.

Nobody is very nice or friendly there. I felt like I was a bother to them just by being there. Maybe they were having a bad day. Maybe they don't like their job. The people at that location used to be really nice to me. Not anymore...

Service Rep didn't seem to have any ideas on how to fix the problem. I had to call the dealer and get their suggestions and then commincate that back to Big O. I dropped off my car at 9am for a battery issue and then was contacted at about 11 saying they couldn't replicate my problem. I had asked them to rotate the tires, but they never did it. I finally called about the status at 4pm and they said they couldn't rotate the tires because they were too bald. It would have been nice if they called me to tell me that. I had to keep calling back to find out anything. At 4pm I suggested that they change the battery and put on new tires and rotate them. The rep said it would be done by 5pm. I came in at 5 and the car had not been touched. I asked about it, and the rep said it would for sure be done by 6pm, so I waited. Well, it was 7pm before they finally finished it. The reps were super nice, but communication and up-front time-frame estimation was severely lacking.

I took my truck into have the check engine light looked at. When I came to pick up the truck the associate had told me that he had put the code reader in but couldn't tell me what code it was. He seemed like he didn't want to help me and told me his mechanics were backed up. I have been coming to big o for many years and I probably won't be back.

Let the customer know a time estimate when checking in. I had scheduled an appointment, but that really didn’t mean anything as far as time. I waited 2.5 hours for a tire rotation.
