We bought a family season pass. The facilities are dated...some to look Polynesian but overall just used well. The staff is well trained and polite. It's nice to see ACTIVE training in the pool. However as if this visit, suddenly our 6 year old is too tall for their OPEN metal children's slides. At 48 inches and 50lbs...it's not like he's an unusually large kid! Of course, if they will not allow this area to his age group of weak/non-swimmers then there is no significant area for him to play. The wave pool is too crowded and not safe with little kids--the raft riders plow you over--and it HURTS to be ground into the concrete "beach". So unless some policy changes occur...we will finish this season and not return.

My family and I like Big Surf, as it is one of the cleaner water parks with reasonably upscale clientele. I do wish that they provided rafts for free, rather than charging for them. The staff is wonderful, and I feel that, with the sheer number of lifeguards on duty, and the high level of attention they pay to swimmers, they significantly minimize the danger of anyone drowning.

This is the first (and absolute last) time we've visited this facility. The visit began with an unkept promise from a worker (we phoned earlier to see if Mom Monday's can be used with a groupon, we were told yes). When we arrived we were directed to the office to which we were treated like liars because we couldn't produce a name, poor customer service! The bathrooms are so gross, I've been in better smelling port a pottys! My son's shoes were stolen and all the staff does is rudely blow whistles and talk to children like they're mindless apes. Never returning!!! Worst water park ever! Waste of time and money. Should have working mister systems or fans, not enough beach space or lounge chairs.
